Cleanings are twice a year, x-rays are once a year. We don’t have insurance and don’t try to insure for dental or eyeglasses, we never have. We just pay for it.

I didn’t read carefully, sorry. Our cost is half of yours.

We’ve been going to the same dentist for 32 years. He was an extraordinary fellow who recently died. He was highly educated (had an M.D. as well as Dr. of Dentistry degree) he taught dentistry, he was active in many ways in military/gun education/policing/motorcycle riding.

His treatment and fees are reasonable. I have good teeth and never need anything done. DH need something every few years.A root canal is I. His immediate future.

    ….edited to make sense…
WOW!!! I pay $40 USD for a cleaning in Nogales these days and feel as if that's just too much. Rob

I have no trouble paying this amount of money and I’m not concerned about it.

Been to a fancy upscale dentist and had horrible service. Then the partnership fell apart and we found our current dentist. He is a middle of the road in terms of new things but!! he is pain free, with excellent employees, very customer oriented, and has inhouse insurance. It is $325 for a yearly program. Two visits, cleaning, xrays, and 10% off other services. We can pay for whatever we need and do not worry about cost.

Pinky toe, dental costs here are very expensive just like yours. Luckily when I had teeth I also had dental insurance because I needed 4 cleanings a year the last 10 years. Now I don’t have teeth and the cost to remove my implanted denture on the bottom which basically unscrews so they can clean my gums underneath is 740.

Had a toothache where I had a filling. Just got back from Mexico and had a root canal procedure. Cost … $450. Says online the cost can range from $1,300 to $1,600 depending where tooth is located. This was a molar in the back and would be more expensive.

There is such a wide variety in dental costs even in this country. When we lived near Savannah my husband went to a dentist there that wanted $30,000 to pull out his old metal fillings. He did it with a local guy on the island we lived on in South Carolina and it was $700.

I called my dentist about an upcoming appointment for cleaning and possible x-rays. I don't have coverage at this point in time, so I wanted to find out the cost before possibly cancelling. They will do the cleaning, exam and determine if I really need the x-rays. If I do, they said it will be under $400. Going to go ahead with it and hope they don't need the x-rays - as that will be under $300 for just cleaning and exam.

I really need to get off my butt and figure out the rest of my healthcare stuff!!!!
