    For Auld Lang Syne

As Robbie Burns wrote so eloquently and truly, my jo:
...And there's a hand, my trusty friend,
And give me a hand o' thine,
And we'll take a right goodwill draught
    For auld lang syne.

My Scottish MIL used to say that it's weird that when Americans sing Auld Lang Syne it's sung with a celebratory air that seemed weird to her, because in Scotland it's sung with a melancholy air. I get that.

    Thanks for posting, dado.
