bobby I have a question for you: why do my cats often drink out of the dirty water sitting in a bowl by the kitchen sink when their stainless steel watering fountain is a mere 3 inches away?

They choose dirty water over clean, filtered, moving water provided exclusively foe them.

okay----Faux, you'll hafta axe Steve in Mpls, when he comes back, because i can't figure that out, either. But yeah, i have two BT's that insist on "bathroom water", either from the drip in the tub faucet, or from the toilet tank. Why? Also, i set two(2) bempty boxes from Aldis on the counter for catts to sit in. Well, the small one was full o' catts, to where they was partly sticking out o' the box, where the bigger one, which was the ideal size, only had one catt in it. Catts are VERY(xxx44444) inscrutable. Yup. Hope that helpps you some. Thankk mee.

okay---i told you about my Eritrean Shorthair that I adopted 5 years ago. She had been relying on a sandwich shop on a busy street with no residences nearby for food. The sanwitch shop was closing up for good, so she needed placement. I though initially she was just a kitten, but no, she was already spaded. The sanwitch shop people had put her on a lost and found pet board for awhile. Anyway, after 5 years indoors here, she decided she wanted to be an indoor-outdoor catt, and it has worked out because she stays close by. Comes in when it's cold after an hour, because Zurra is not like Eritrea. Nope. (see photo) They are rare, especially in Eritrea, because Eritreans use them for food. That figures.

She's really cute, Bobby. She's the tiny one, right?

TYVM, RR. I appreciate it. Yes, Puma is a small catt. Not skinny, and not undernourished. But, I guess that's just the way Eritrean Catts are. Yup. When you pick her up, she likes being carried; doesn't squirm to get away, like the bigg catts do.

Raymond seemed to think the portions aren't quite generous enough around here, so he was taking matters into his own paws.
    He's had quite a week:
Thoroughly licked a stick of butter
Tore through the plastic covering a plate of cornbread so he could nibble at it
Scorched his tail walking across the stove while we were boiling water for tea (we're really lucky this one didn't have a tragic outcome).

Oh Raymond! Such destruction and utter badness!

We have a stove walker too, and yes, she has singed her tail twice. Now, I either watch the open flame like a hawk or if I’m going to do extensive cooking using the open flame, I lock her in another room.

okay----oh, no! But yeah---i've got some demo-cats, as well. they do stoopid stuff, and destroy things and self-harm, to demonstrate their cats rights, i guess. one has a singed tail, from turning on the stove burner, so yeah--that required removing the knobs. Also, never leave tp and paper towels where they can be shredded, or they will. Nope. Edited to add: as i write this, tippy-toes took fluffys spot on my lap, so fluff is sitting on my shoulders. yup. nothing i can do about it, unless i would take 'em down to the sandwich shop, and drop 'em off in the lot. ha.
