    Napoleon

Anyone seen the new Ridley Scott Napoleon film? I’m not hearing a lot of good things.

Agree, I heard a couple of discussions about there being lots of military action on film, but not a lot of character, definition and development

This film was highly advertised in my country, it's usually not a good omen, or maybe not. I'll see it, eventually, mainly due to Joaquin's.

I haven't seen it yet. I do greatly enjoy Scott's first film, also set in the same time period, "The Duelists", which is just wonderful.

A lot of the criticism I’ve seen is from buffs who complain that a particular hussar’s pelisse was trimmed with the wrong sort of fur or point out how the real chronology of Austerlitz proceeded. But some are saying that Scott managed to make an extremely interesting man dreadfully boring between overwrought action scenes.

okay-----napoleon: French Corsican who overthrew the monarchy, AND led an army to overrun Europe, like addolff did 140 years m/l later. So, when are the Hollywood's gonna .make a romantic biopic about addoph n' Eva. but yeah--just curious.
