hahaha!! I love it!! I'll definitely pass it along to my kids. I especially appreciated "I know the exit.. I know where I am bound"--I posted a while back that I'm writing a book--called Exit 9! I may have to work out a licensing deal with the singer/songwriter! It could be the book's anthem.

    Thanks for sharing, happystuff.

Exit 9. New Brunswick. I remember that exit well! Almost as well as exit 11-Woodbridge/garden state parkway.

One of the other things I remember about NJ is that when I first moved there in 1990 the north train lines of NJ transit all went to Hoboken and the south lines all went through Newark and to NYC Penn station. During the 90’s they were building the ‘seacaucus connection’ or some such thing that would enable the north trains to transfer to the NE corridor and go to Penn station. The trains would be able to run on both D/C and A/C in order to be compatible. By the time the service actually rolled out years later the marketing people had gotten involved and the much better name Midtown Direct name was used.
