    Let the debate begin?

The news blurb I heard today said, most Americans plan on watching the debate. I'm not sure how long my attention span will last, but it could be entertaining. The mike off rule and no audience may lead to a more civil discussion. Biden has seemingly sequestered himself away making strategy and practicing debate questions, as opposed to Trump, who gives an impression of being unconcerned on the campaign trail and is probably being coached by his inner circle not to go off the rails. Polls are saying they are running neck and neck and the debate could nudge things one way or another?

    I doubt I will watch.

I heard a politically conservative journalist from CNN opine that his excellent colleagues will do a fair and balanced job moderating Donald J Trump.

I hope they do. Because otherwise, if they do an obviously biased job, that will work in Trump’s favor.

I might watch a bit just out of curiosity. I have a hard time watching Trump in any setting.

It's on past my bedtime, so will probably watch at least parts of it after the fact.

That’s one of the reasons I’m happy we don’t live on the east coast anymore. Things like this and the superbowl, etc, all happen so much earlier!

I tried to watch..and I just can't. Joe presents as old and feeble, with a deer-in-the-headlights look. Trump (in the bits I could stand to watch) presents as stronger, younger. I fear this is going to go badly for the Dems...

I hope to be proven wrong but that was my initial impression.
