    Daily talking points

I seldom pay attention to the political talking points of the day because I eventually hear about them here from JP1.. He’s very good about distributing the talking points.

But today I may have the script before JP! Here’s the Democratic talking point for the day:

it is ILLOGICAL for Donald Trump to have worked at McDonald’s recently. There is NO LOGIC to that stunt.

so now you all can go forth and spread the anti-Trump talking point of the day.

Me, I thought DJT’s stint making fries at McDonald’s was funny and it got media attention which is the point.

Looks like the usual suspects have chosen to get indignant over it. MSNBC calling it illogical. The New York Times informing us that that franchise once failed a health inspection. Pretty much everybody claiming he’s trolling Harris’s claim about working at McDonald’s. I suspect if Trump had made a similar claim there would be task forces assigned to debunk it. It would be a bigger story than Alito’s flagpole.

I understand that the "I don't know how to load my own shotgun" stunt had already been taken.

He couldn’t figure out where the arrows go. Should have bought American.

During Tim Walz' recent pheasant hunt media event, after being decked out in new Elmer Fudd attire and advising the camera he'd be using his personal Beretta A400 shotgun which he frequently used in one of his favorite sports, trapshooting, he awkwardly struggled on camera trying to load the weapon.

I found a short clip of that just now, thanks!

It looks to me like he might be *unloading* the Beretta (for instance, shells seem to be coming out of it and going into his pocket). If I recall, unloading that shotgun involves cycling the rounds through the chamber one at a time, after poking at a release dingus for each shell. Which could be a PITA.

If he were *loading* it, I'd imagine he'd drop in a shell, hit the release, rotate the shotgun to a different position, and feed the rounds into the magazine properly, a process that is quick and easy.

I do not like shotguns that you have to fiddle with to unload, I've seen too many students in class make "mistakes".

By coincidence, twelve years ago almost to the day, I posted my Trump/Beretta story here on these forums:

    https://www.simplelivingforum.net/sh...hlight=beretta

This spring, I was in The Secret Room on the 3rd floor of the Beretta salon in NYC, trying to get a word in edgewise about a shotgun I wanted built for me, while my daughter was busily discussing the history of the company with their top gunsmith in North America for her history class. They were having a great time.

His assistant came into The Room, telling him "Trump is on the phone again, he wants to know when he can have his gun back..." The gunsmith responded "Can't you see I'm talking to the young lady here, tell him to call back tomorrow sometime..."

I love guys who have their priorities down right.

After they chatted another hour, he turned to me to see about the gun I wanted built, talked me out of the $30k custom one, and found an off-the-rack $2k one they make that would work *better* for my needs with a mere $200 of modifications.

    Customer service.

Personally I was more fascinated by trump’s obsession with Arnold Palmer’s penis size. His obsession with Kamala’s long ago job at Mickey D’s seems tired at this point.

And, to think, this obscene individual is a possibility for president? No class, low life….
