Received a job offer on Tuesday and did not turn it down

Did receive a job offer on Tuesday and did not turn it down. A new shop owner opening up next month offered me the job offer and told him yes. Met up and discussed things over well which I liked. A mechanic job working on vehicles working on customer's vehicles and his used car lot vehicles. Even took a tour of the shop and impressed letting me pick what 2 stalls I wanted. Picked the 2 near the door.he marked them with tape on the wall. Been in this for 25 years and like it. They are in the last weeks of finishing up the final touches at the place. He bought it from the original owner deciding to do renovations which were needed.

It turned from bad luck to good luck. I was let go,laid off last month for no reason. It was tough and luckily I did not owe money to the tool truck dealers when I got laid off. A good friend of mine told him about me

When I was a younger fellow, I was unable to accept a really great deal Satan was offering me, because the tool truck guys already owned my soul.

ooo, shiny new tools, DH's bugaboo back in the day. I don't even want to think how many socket sets, ratcheting whatchmacallitz, clamping gizmos, etc we have. That we do NOT USE AT ALL. He worked in a machine shop for ages, so we have micrometers, gauges, I don't know what all. And he was the SHIPPING manager. Did not USE said stuff. ACH, the call of the tool truck. . .

Congrats on the new job, Jackie! We frequent small car repair shops. Have always gotten good service there, because in a smallish town, if a shop doesn't do a good job for a reasonable price, no one will support it.

Me, I just buy and sell antiques. If only DH's tools were older! My dad's and grandad's tools brought in some cash. But ours? Nah...

He is and been there for me after I was laid off. I love it and do not push parts that are not needed. Moving my toolbox down there on 30th being transported by a towing yard on a flatbed truck. Good thing is they have insurance and 2 experienced operators that know what they are doing getting it down there strapping it down good

Congrats on the new job! Glad your unemployed period was brief. Best of luck moving forward with the new employer.
