    Pres Musk and VP Trump

Well this is very interesting. Musk is acting like he is in charge of the budget and all policy decisions. How do you think this is going to unfold? I can’t wrap my head around it.

I imagine being the richest man in the world inflates one's ego beyond our understanding. I think we are in for a lot of chaos and stalemates in the years ahead.

I saw a somewhat reputable broadcast saying that technically he could be voted as Speaker of the House. Apparently one doesn't have to be a congressman, but is elected by them. I suspect it's unlikely, but a sobering thought. Further unlikely, that could put him third in order of presidential succession after the VP.

I don't think there's room for both trump's and elon's egos at the top, and one will have to go eventually.

Speaking of egos and negativity I wonder if Bannon will work his way back into trump's circle now that he's out of jail.

Musk was born in South Africa. I wonder if he could be anywhere in the constitutional succession.

I caught a glimpse of Steve Bannon on Megan Kelly’s show where she interviewed him. I could not watch it. I didn’t know he’s back among the living and was not happy to see Megan taking him seriously.

Well, the succession includes people who have offices that do not require natural-born citizenship. I presume that when they are running through the succession list, if someone pops up at the top who does not meet the requirements for President, they'd skip to the next eligible person.

It's too bad the media gives guys like Bannon some air time to lend to their credibility. I caught a headline somewhere where he was talking about a third term for Trump, which I suspect would be unconstitutional.

It is, unless you change the Constitution. Or do some clever hacks involving Trump being VP, then assuming the presidency. Or some hack involving having the House select him in a contested election.

    Twenty-Second Amendment

    Section 1:

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Henry Kissinger, born in Germany, was fourth in line of succession when he was Secretary of State. So Musk would qualify under the rules I imagine. I have a very hard time, though, believing Trump will allow anyone to take the spotlight off of him.
but all the chaos and drama probably masks the important issues. For instance Trump said he would rename Denali back to Mt. McKinley. Denali is the Native American name and the people of Alaska voted for it. Such nonsense that will not bring the price of gas and eggs down.

So the people who’ve been controlling Biden the last few years are concerned that Musk is controlling Trump?
