Media is being affected by trump

White house is now spouting who they will provide coverage. If they don’t like what is being written, they will not be allowed to cover.

Watched mainstream news and no coverage of protests around the country. The coverage of businesses they profiled showed only one side of stories. This was CBS.

The propaganda machine is now is place.

okay---hopefully, the Trump Regime can take a practical, end-of-story approach to the homeless problem. There is no other solution to these filthy vagrants. And after that---ghetto rioters. Hope that helps you some. Thank mee.

The news I see is fairly comprehensive in reporting Trump's follies. I wish they would express more outrage, but they maybe trying to avoid sensationalism. Lately I've bee focused on the persecutors who've resigned rather than bend the knee of justice to Trump's demands to drop the charges against Eric Adams. The accusations of a weaponized justice department under Biden are being severely diminished by Trumps activities and I'm guess most GOP leaders and their constituents hardly care. I think the news is being overwhelmed with the Trump tsunami of dumb executive orders.

My local news hasn't reported any protests and they are probably out of the reach of Trump's influence so far, but I've not found the value of protests in general to have much effect until they reach large national proportions. That would be hard for legacy news to avoid.

I send money to legal defense funds. That's the best I can do as protest and possibly the most effective. I support public radio and TV, which is probably out of the immediate grasp of Trump's censorship. I also write letters, but that's of debatable value.

There is something everyone can do without holding up a sign and yelling in protest.

Whole agencies are being fired, government functions wiped off the board; oddly, people who worry about social security running out don't care about that, either.

agree, Tybee. It's overwhelming. What a horrible non-reason to loose your job - because President Musk and his minion Trump need more money in their coffers and want to be the rulers of the (un)free world? It's sick.

You will have to go a long, long way to convince me that Trump controls the media. These were the people who assisted in covering up Biden’s decline and puffed Harris’ campaign so obsequiously they edited interviews to make her seem less ludicrous. These are the people who cropped black faces out of pictures of a Trump victory party.

We all seem to find the media we want to hear.

So far I pretty much agree. I wish the media I visit would express more outrage, but I don't think Trump is controlling them, yet. And outrage can delve into opinion and not always fact. What I see as happening is that the information available to the public will be censored even before the media has a chance to report anything. Take bird flu as an example. I expect the government inflation figures to be manipulated before long along with other numbers games.
