Beautiful! What flowers are they? It's hard to tell--I wish I could make the pictures bigger. I do click on them and that helps, but they're still not big enough to really appreciate them.

if I load the photo directly from my photo file, it’s probably bigger, but it’s either sideways or upside down.

these coral colored flowers are peonies. they are not native to the US, but they are native to China although this is a hybrid, of course

Just gorgeous, and your view is wonderful, too. Really smashing the setting.

Lovely, Iris. And I too appreciate your view!
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!

Beautiful! We grow a lot of peonies, but no blooms up here in the north country yet.

My peonies, planted from roots at the end of last summer, are only 3 inches tall right now.

I find the peonies to be a little puny down here in the lower Midwest. They like it to be colder.

but then, the biggest peony grower and hybridizer in the U.S., Hollingsworth, is in Missouri, so I don’t know what to say about that. I just know that the peonies of my relatives up in Iowa and Minnesota are bigger.

Wowie! Iris! Those coral peonies are beautiful. I have only pink and one deep pink. They are large- MD must be a little colder than Missouri. Mine were from Pennsylvania 40 years ago and I think they were about 20 years old when I dug them up. Are the yellow ones iris? I agree you have a lovely view!

peonies do have a range of bloom time. My coral ones are early. I still have some in tight bud.

yes, there are yellow peonies. They were once very expensive but now you can get Bartzella for $29.

here is a yellow peony I once had, now lost in our many moves.
