Hope things are going well ejchase. I did a round of boxing yesterday -- about 15 more books to be donated. And another round of papers into the recycling bin. It's such slow going, but I have to keep telling myself that every little bit now is stuff I won't ever have to deal with again.

5 more boxes of books out of the house -- donated to a local environmental education nonprofit that gives books away. Trying to make space on the shelves for the books I brought home from my parent's house in August.

Thanks Rosa! It did feel like a big deal, but I need to get back to it. I managed to successfully deliver a family heirloom to the proper archives this week -- something my parents just were no longer able to deal with. It feels good to get that to the right place, but it did take quite a bit of correspondence (and taking a day off work) to complete. Let's see what I can put into the recycling/donate piles this weekend....

Hi all and bluestreak,Bluestreak, it sounds like you've been making amazing progress!I'm sorry I disappeared! I've had an incredibly busy last three months during which I made some progress on some important life goals but neglected this one. I'd like to complete 10-15 hours in the ten days I have before I leave town for the holidays. We'll see.I did do 1.5 hours today. New total: 7.5.

Bravo to you EJ for realizing that other life goals need work, too....progress is good, no matter in what area! It is satisfying to get back to the decluttering and cleaning though, snd realizing how far you have come!! I polished silverware today with Haggerty's...must be 25 years old, it did a great job. I've been doing the baking soda, detergent hot water soak in aluminum foil lined jar for a few years, but they really needed proper polish. They look great. I use silverware every day, so it gets a little dim!
