Paraquat and Parkinson's Disease

I just read the NYT article on the possible tie of Parkinson's Disease to Paraquat weedkiller usage. The fact that it is still used extensively in this country and banned in most others is not right. Both of my older brothers now have Parkinson's and it is the fastest growing neurological disease out there. Come on US - duh - do the right thing!!

My dad died from Parkinson's a few years ago but they suspect it was from exposure to Agent Orange during his two tours in Vietnam. I was not close to my dad so I never witnessed him with the disease but from what my siblings said, it was a hard thing to watch someone go through.
