the Red Cross didn’t tell me anything about how blood is marked through its journey in the donation process.
I did say “studies suggest…” and you can find those as well as I can.
Yes there are different levels for males and females in hemoglobin levels required when donating. You say they are other sex related issues, OK. I myself was unable to donate blood this week because my hemoglobin level was too low. It is borderline all too often.
So let me ask you, if there are sex related issues for blood donors, then why don’t they ask the sex of donors on the form.?“Gender” in today’s world is not a synonym for biological sex. And I didn’t know one was allowed to “observe “ a patient’s sex in today’s environment and conclude the patient’s sex is different from the patient’s stated gender. Are you sure about that? it certainly has not been OK to do in most professional, educational, community, and social settings.
