Sounds great! I made a big pot of vegetable soup and now will freeze seven containers so that turned out to be very frugal; garden vegetables like celery, tomatoes, and basil plus potatoes, carrots, chicken stock plus cans of beans and peas. We changed our drier vent to an indoor vent and it is already putting warmth and humidity into the kitchen. Things are also drying a whole lot faster so that will save electricity. We still hang clothes but usually need to end them in the drier, especially this time of year.
I needed a new winter jacket. I got a $130 Rei down jacket that was well reviewed. I didn't want to spend a ton, and since I'm plus sized, options can be scarce. Lovely violet color.
I've got friends that will buy junk and then complain when they have to replace items annually.
