okay----you know how great it ista see ol' Carts, live and in person. Yup. So, drop everything and makes plans ta hear him go: "yeah, yeah, yeah, Meeee-shellllllll Mah-belll" once again. Even though your STILL paying off your card from the last time what's left of the Beatpools came through. But yeah--there ain't many seats left. (see photo)

I wouldn't pay that much money for a ticket to see anyone.

In the 2000s I paid $750 for two tickets to see my lifelong heartthrob, Paul McCartney in Philadephia. And I felt really guilty about spending that much. I was just digging myself out of the crapper at that time. It was a bit of a bucket list thing. I never saw the Beatles in concert when they were hot because I was too young. The concert was amazing. Well worth $325 for each ticket. Not bad seats either.

But at this point, BTDT, and $1000+ is way more than I'd be willing to spend.

oh, I would’ve spent that much to get a good seat at the recent Rolling Stones concert, no problem. When they came to Missouri, a couple of years ago, I should’ve gone, but I didn’t. It wasn’t the money, it was that DH was in Switzerland and I didn’t have anyone to go with since it would’ve been an overnight trip.

we paid around $1800 for two tickets in recent years to see Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle.

I am in the “spend your dough” phase of life but still can’t justify spending like that!

okay----thanks for your responses to this thread. But no---gaslighting me will not change my littlebittymind at all! Nope. So anyway---there are many, many alternatives to spending a months pay to see an 82-year old billionaire singing a buncha oldies. But yeah---let me give you one: a lady from Kansas City, who fronts her own band. She's got stage prescence, an awesome voice, and plays electric guitar. I might add that she is 100000% better than Joe what's-his-face, for sure! Yup. Lately, she performed in Japan, Germany, England, Callyfornya and Dubuque, IWAH. The Meat state, in the middle o' nowhere! Ha. Hopefully, she and her crew will be appearing at one of the many venues here. Thing is, advance tickicks to her shows sell for more than what is appropriate, in my judgement. Soooo, i may try to get one offa somone who changed their plans and is selling theirs just prior at a deep discount. See? But yeah---you kids prolly never hearda Samantha Fish(see photos), since you ONLY listen to oldies bands from your high school days. Isn't that right? Thankk Mee.

okay---i tell ya who really DISGUSTS mee, and that is that Bruce Springsteen. Yup. But yeah---he's been around forever, and seems to have a lot of fans, but mainly stooopud hollyweirds-type opinions. Plus--He isn't any good at music, and then his stoopid songs have stuff like " I got a 69 Chevy with a 396 and fuely heads", which is completely stoopid. But yeah----Springsteen tickicks: I'd never buy 'em, no matter how CHEAP they are. Nope.

okay----since we're all discussing antique rock godds here, I'll throw this out for discussion: We KNBOW that Clapman is a VERY great guitar player, doubtless up there in the upper 2%. But, what would you kids say is his ranking? Some would claim he's number 1, others might rate Clapman in the top 10; yet others would say he's only about #15 or even 20. Pretty rash statements, there. But yeah---how would you rate Clapman?(see photo)

I don’t think Jerry’s standup is especially funny, but he has been doing important work in the comedy world, speaking out about i intellectual freedom issues in recent years, being an elder statesman of comedy. Also I like his Comedians in Cars series.
