Four (or three or five) favorite movies

I just read that the Pope's 4 favorite movies are
    It's a Wonderful Life
    Sound of Music
    Ordinary People
    Life is Beautiful

which was a fun thing to know. It made me think of my own favorite movies, and so far I've come up with

    It's a Wonderful Life
    Avalon
    Baby Boom
The Best Years of Our Lives

Maybe if folks share their favorite movies it will give us all something new to watch. . .

Recent ones that come to mind:

    Atonement

    Manchester by the sea

    Brokeback Mountain

These were once on my favorite list from years ago:

    Amadeus,

    The Piano with Holly Hunter

    Lars and the Real Girl

    March of the Penquins

    Secret of Roan Innish

The only ones I have seen are Brokeback Mountain and Amadeus, so this is great!

The Shining was definitely the scariest movie I ever saw in the theatre.

Dances with Wolves is one I forgot, although it's a little hard for a re-watch as Costner seems a little too odd these days.

I actually liked Tremors, but not a top favorite.

Let's see. Off the top of my head:

    Shirley Valentine
    Under The Tuscan Sun
    The Replacements
and for pure fun, any of the Tremors movies. LOL
