I don’t believe the gestapo invaded churches or schools. it is worse here now than in those days. Masked, unknown men grabbing people off the streets… who would ever think this could happen in America. Check out the article above … trump is making this a “hellhole” … his words!

A quote from the article:

"Pritzker, a two-term Democrat, directed state agencies to investigate claims that children were zip tied and detained separately from their parents, saying “military-style tactics” shouldn’t be used on children. Several Democratic members of the Illinois congressional delegation met near the site Sunday, calling for an end to immigration raids."

For the record, children who were zip-tied were unclothed in some cases, and were American citizens.

On CBS Sunday Morning, there was a segment on an Episcopal church in LA with an 80% Hispanic congregation, and the pastor decided to close the church and do virtual services online because ICE took some of his congregants, and he doesn't want the others to be at risk.

Yep. The Feds have even forbidden flying of private drones in the area for 10-14 days. That was announced last week.

I do see a silver lining here but I don't believe most of you will understand my take. Which is cool, your take is your take. My take, however, is that right now the United States is similar to Europe before WW2 in one way - at the end of WW2, many folks ended out in a country that they did not start in, as a result of displacement due to the War. If this all continues, I see some kind of clash/confrontation/uprising/war taking place in the future - and some Americans may end out elsewhere than the US as a result thereof. In this county's case I believe it won't be so much from massive destruction (images of Berlin on the day WW2 ended come to mind) but from system collapse overall. The more events like this one in Chicago take place, the closer the United States comes to collapse and the closer some of us to get to leaving the US.

And yes, I do believe things are this bad. At least some of us will end out in a better country than we started in. There's that much that is positive but I don't look forward to massive disruptions in everyday things that society takes for granted. But I am trying to be positive - some of us may end out with better citizenship out of this sheer and utter insanity. Better than nothing, no? Rob
