Similar story ... when I was about five-ish, I cut my bangs off really really short. My hair was darkish brown then, and it looked -- and felt -- funny. I remember running my fingers across the stubble. Don't know why I did it.

So many kids experiment with hair-cutting, don't they. Somehow, in our house, hair was left alone. :)
