Sorry if wrong forum, nothing seemed to fit.

I am a semi-literate computer user. My old "computer interface" had a right-click function for posting a link to anything-else-on-the-internet. It's been gone since my new motherboard. I can easily send an email to someone linking an internet source, but can't post the same thing anywhere else (on here, for example). I understand the concept of cut-and-paste, but nothing I do seems to work. I left-click, I right-click, I go nowhere, I post no links.

So at the risk of sounding as stupid as I obviously am, could someone please give me a simple set of instructions for copying a link onto a forum such as this? I read a killer story tonight, I'll bet it will be viral in a day or two, and I wanted to be the first to post it here. But no, I'm not smart enough to post a golldarned link.

It's been bugging me for months.....I just tonight decided to give up and ask for help.....

Hi, Lin! To post a link, simply look for the globe with a little chain link under it. It's in the little toolbar about the posting box. It's immediately to the right of the smiley face. :) You'll get a little pop-up box. Simply paste your link into box. Voila! :)

Might help to know what "computer interface" you were using. The ball and chain (globe, actually), is in the reply section. However, to help you with other ways and sites, take the cursor up to the address bar (where the www. is) and left click on the right side and drag the cursor to the left, to highlight. Then right click and "copy" and then go to the site you want to post a link to and right click in your reply and "paste". That should work with most browsers and sites.

Blackdog Lin. Does your computer still allow you the ability to copy and paste?

Have you tried control-c and control-v? When cutting and pasting seems blocked in all other ways, that old stand by works for me in every program or appliation I've ever used.
