OMG, I've heard to much about these salad spinners on this forum! I've never had one, and I don't like bringing more gadgets into my tiny kitchen. If you had a kitchen that measures 8 x 8, would you still have a salad spinner? I really am developing a clutter aversion in my old age.
I store my spinner in a drawer. My spinner has is about a 8 cup measure with a handle on top. Some are bigger but this one is collapsible.

My kitchen might be a tiny bit bigger, but with 5 entryways, no counter and a totally inefficient layout, it "lives" a lot smaller. Our house is about 900 SF, although we do also have an unfinished basement for storage. Nevertheless, the salad spinner is indispensable. :)
