My salad spinner also doubles up as an additional vegetable crisper when I'm done spinning.

I spin enough salad for two days and store in the spinner in the fridge.

I got the idea from Tiam on this forum to store the washed lettuce in the salad spinner. Life changing advice!

OMG, I've heard to much about these salad spinners on this forum! I've never had one, and I don't like bringing more gadgets into my tiny kitchen. If you had a kitchen that measures 8 x 8, would you still have a salad spinner? I really am developing a clutter aversion in my old age.

I store my spinner in a drawer. My spinner has is about a 8 cup measure with a handle on top. Some are bigger but this one is collapsible.

yes, get it. Because it doubles as a strainer.

My condo kitchen is 8 x 8.5 and it will have a salad spinner.

My kitchen might be a tiny bit bigger, but with 5 entryways, no counter and a totally inefficient layout, it "lives" a lot smaller. Our house is about 900 SF, although we do also have an unfinished basement for storage. Nevertheless, the salad spinner is indispensable.
