    Seeding Fear

Here's a link to Neil Young's latest Monsanto bashing project. Its a ~10 minute video. I live in farm country so Monsanto is kind of a poster child for everything that's wrong with agriculture in my world. Besides, its Neil Young. I've been a fan since I bought my first copy of Harvest sometime back in the 70s.

As a side note, I just learned of the DARK Act which has just passed the House as supported mostly by conservatives. It would prohibit individual states from requiring GMO labeling. Seems a little ironic for a group that typically endorses state's rights and decentralization.

Their "state's rights" posture is just that; you can't take them seriously. Chris Christie will take us back to marijuana prohibition, and all the rest of them are ready to ban abortion--women's sovereignty be damned--even though progressive states have overwhelmingly voted in favor of both. They're very elastic on "rights," where the ordinary, non-billionaire citizen is concerned. The theocrats among them scare me the most: Huckabee (forced birth, courtesy of the National Guard) and Santorum (who wants to outlaw birth control) don't even pretend to dissemble on that issue.

The current group in Congress cares little about the intent and actuality of issues found in the Constitution.

I will have to watch this tomorrow but fellow fan here. He was my first concert, I was 13, it was when he had all the giant mice on stage, 80s. My wedding dance was Harvest Moon. He's just such a stand up guy, even when really in the minority, I respect him for that

You know, Neil has a really nice MTV style video of his Harvest Moon song. It's gotta be one of the best music videos I know of, but I'm sort of an old schmaltz. Nothing to do with climate change. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2MtEsrcTTs
