To me, that indicates the possibility that all the mask hysteria is mostly theater, well meaning theater but theater none-the-less.
A valid question. And one which brings up a related one. Why the eff are we still wearing cloth masks well over a year into this? Surely it should have occurred to someone at some level that it would be more effective if we all wore kn94 masks or whatever the ones are that work well but aren’t full on n95 masks. Because of his underlying health risk SO started buying those almost a year ago and has consistently worn them since. At this point they should be strongly recommended and broadly available.

I have wondered if I bought a piece of lace and tied it over my nose and mouth would it qualify as a face covering and meet legal requirements.

I've seen tests of masks with a variety of configurations, and they all protect to some degree. There's a YouTube video in which a doctor sews a mask that approximates an N95. I believe it was cotton and melt-blown non-woven fabric. I wear a 2-layer jersey liner with a 2-layer fabric mask plus filter insert, closely fitted to my face. I also have a stock of KN95 masks.

Just stop. People already think you’re a sociopath who lacks empathy. Why do you pour gasoline on the fire? We get it. You have no interest in helping keep other people alive. But that’s nothing to brag about by sharing plans to put other people at risk of a fatal disease in the middle of a pandemic. Not all of us think they are about to die and shrug our shoulders when they do.

Or she could stop fantasizing about thwarting the safety provided by masks. It’s creepy and not really defensible. I hope for your sake she wasn’t at the Missouri state fair.

#IDidn'tGetAVaccineForNothing but JP sure thinks I did.

My state which had a positivity rate of 30% at one time is now hovering between 2% and 3% which is prompting unwarranted measures by negative nellies because it used to be 1%.

Delta is quite contagious and it will spread until it moves through the unvaccinated population. There was an uptick after the Fourth of July and you watch there will be another one after Labor Day. It is due to these social gatherings not going to the supermarket or the library.

    Jp1,

it’s because trolls are like stray cats. If you feed them, they stick around.

or it could be that when you are lonely and feeling powerless and failing at in person human relationships, you cling to any source of attention and sense of control you can find. I don’t know. I don’t believe I can have a rational conversation with Yppej, so I’m not asking her. At this point I’m just going off the posts I’ve read. - which gives you only the vision of the person they present filtered through your unmoderated viewpoint. And I’m pretty sure my brain doesn’t work neurotypically, so there’s that.

nobody has tried to explain to me why they are still engaging. I really wanted to know. Do you just enjoy the fight?
