Seems like that hasn't started yet, so probably has less to do with inflation than 45's budget increases, tax cuts, and pressuring the fed to keep interest rates low, which is where it all started. He overfueled the economy and then got out before the finger pointing started. I wonder if Europe's high rate of inflation can be blamed on politics too or if there is a common unrelated thread.

In the adult world, we have the concept of trade offs. I have no great use for the clowns who want to “make America great again”, but that doesn’t mean I’m willing to open the door to the clowns who want to “fundamentally transform America”. And yes, I think prices doubling every eight or nine years is a big deal. I’m funny that way.
Untrue.. you voted for Johnson who wanted to DRASTICALLY transform America. You voted for trump's minion. You AGAIN speak out of both sides of your mouth! I imagine you will vote for another dastard idiot... Michels.... who advocates AR15s for anyone (even 15 year olds ... saw him say from his own mouth) and here is more of his "law and order" bs. Another trump minion evoking violence. Believe the only thing you need to hear is that they are "republican" and you vote for them. Doesn't matter to you if they want to overthrow the government even.

ETA... DH did business with Michels years ago and he was a deadbeat just like trump... doesn't pay his bills or leaves people hanging.

Let’s take the issue you keep harping about which is granted, a VERY BIG DEAL. The insurrection of January 6 was a nightmare situation. Please know that The Republican Party did not plan it or execute it. The reaction by some Republicans to this debacle is disappointing to be sure. But idiots who carried it out are being prosecuted. I think Donald Trump had much to do with it to inspire it if not make it happen. The country needs to kick Donald Trump to the curb and move on.

I think you’re right that Republicans actually are in trouble as far as winning elections but probably not from the things you think they’re in trouble for.
    He was talking about Ldahl.

trump should go the way of hoffa and just disappear.

I have no idea what you're talking about. President Biden's plan ostensibly reduces the deficit by taxing those who currently skate.

    From Whitehouse.gov:

The United States is in a stronger economic position than any other major advanced economy in the world. At the same time, inflation is too high and is putting a strain on working families. The President’s top economic priority is tackling inflation and reducing costs for American families – so we can sustain this historic economic recovery in a way that benefits all Americans.

President Biden has a plan to tackle inflation – by lowering costs that families face and lowering the federal deficit by asking the large corporations and the wealthiest Americans to pay their fair share. Congressional Republicans, led by Senator Rick Scott, have called for a new minimum tax on the middle class – firefighters and teachers – that would mean an average of almost $1,500 less in families’ pockets each year. And, while part of President Biden’s plan to lower costs is to strengthen Medicare by giving it the power to negotiate prescription drug prices, the Congressional Republican plan would put Medicare – in addition to Social Security, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act and other critical programs for American families – on the chopping block every five years.

    What am I missing?

My daughter was proficient with her AR15 before she was 15 years old.

Now that is scary! I can see training kids to hunt for food but this type of training is dangerous IMO. These guns should be used for the military only IMO. Crazy in the hands of kids.

My daughter is a quite decent competitive target shooter.

Just what we need. Kids using high powered rifles. Nuts!!!!! What is the purpose of having them know how to shoot these machines? ... military or what has been happening in schools across our nation. No wonder we are having problems. Other weapons can be used to target shoot. This is way overkill (pun intended).

I was talking about the loan “forgiveness” plan, not the “Inflation Reduction Act”.

Whether the former reduces inflation will depend on whether a delicate scaffolding of assumptions holds true.

And yet I still prefer Johnson over Mandela Barnes, who in addition to the usual menu of left wing foolishness is a bit of a tax deadbeat himself.
