I don't own a cat, but my sister-in-law recently posted a picture of her and my brother's cat on FB, and I thought it was such a lovely portrait of a cat, I saved it.

So I thought, what the heck, let's go out. She lay in the sun, watched birds, breathed the sweet air. I miss her already. I keep thinking she's going to come tell me it's dinnertime, or I watch for her when I walk from room to room thinking she'll be there. I'll miss her rubs on my ear at night the most.

Oh Kay, I am so sorry. Is she your only cat?

Here’s a ridiculous photo of my cat, now named William Bill, when he was a glamour Puss. This is a professional photo his former owner had taken of him. This is when he was on the show circuit.

but he doesn’t look much different from all of the other handsome, well fed, tabby cats in this thread.

Kay, I'm so sorry. It's awful. On the other hand, I love all these photos. No cats here anymore except a visitor when her mom is away.

Okay---you kids have some VERY impressive cats! Yup. But yeah--I was a disreputable cat breeder, producing unwanted Oops! Litters. I had a littlebitty gray breeding pair, and guess what? One of their offspring is a huge yellow bobcat, very good natured, too But not much like mom & dad. Figure that out.

Kay, I'm so sorry for the loss of your beautiful kitty. May your memories sustain you. We are always watching our current cats and talking about the cats that have gone before. And I swear we have some ghost cats...
