Where did you order from?
Something called VernierShops. But I realize now that when I tried a different set of words for a search for an ergonomic seat cushion for a wooden chair it led me away from Amazon and into the scary third-party seller wilderness and I wasn't paying much attention. I read the reviews for the product and now realize how bogus they probably were. I told them in the chat yesterday that they had misrepresented their product and it felt like they were trying to rip me off when I wanted to return it. I just got home and looked at my emails and they said that they initiated the refund and it would take three to five business days to go through. It ain't over till it's over - I'll believe it when I see the money (minus the 20% restocking fee) is back in my account. So now I 've got this stupid chair cushion I'll never use! Maybe I'll try to sell it on Marketplace.
In the meantime, I am still waiting to see what that new unauthorized charge from this morning is. I already cancelled the card and will be getting a new one next week.
What a hassle, SQ! Hope it quickly resolves (other than the stocking fee)
This isn’t really a rant, it’s just a comment about something that is just seems really dumb.
Something reminded me of an old organization at my workplace, and organization of regional libraries, that existed for the purpose of… I could never really figure out. I was on the board of that organization for a while and even sitting there on the board I couldn’t quite figure out why it was necessary. I recommended that my organization drop out of it some years later. But maybe they’ve rejoined, who knows. Anyway…
I see that organization is still communicating via: listserv.
That’s right, listserv
do you all remember listserv software? Can you even fathom belonging to a listserv in this day and age?
I left an hour early yesterday because I was about to throttle a coworker. Whenever she speaks English, it is at a normal level. When she speaks Spanish, it's at such a loud volume that I literally can't hear a person I'm on the phone with. It's not like she even sits next to me. I told her to pipe down multiple times but she was so focused on her conversation, she probably couldn't hear me unless I went off and told her to shut the **** up which I wanted to avoid seeing it's my workplace. So I finished what I was doing to a satisfactory point and left.
I have a raging sinus infection. Left a message with doc for antibiotics. Waiting on callback. Left work an hour early. Heat in car didn’t seem to be working much so my fingers were ice. Stopped at McD for hot chocolate on the way home and switched off holding it. That helped. Home in a hot bath now. Head feels like it’s going to explode.
Oh, Tradd, I'm so sorry. Just when your covid is gone! I hate sinus infections. Mine are generally low - I always feel like my teeth are going to pop out. Hope you feel better soon. If your car heater isn't up to snuff, you can always buy battery powered gloves, lol.
