Biden's rationale for pardoning Hunter, according to the news today is, "all the other Presidents did it--why can't I?"

Apparently, Clinton pardoned his half-brother for cocaine charges, and Trump pardoned Charles Kushner for tax evasion.

Plus, Hunter also seems to be getting off for good behavior--5 years of sobriety.

I read that the pardon covers any offenses committed between January 1, 2014 and December 1, 2024. Just in case someone missed something.

This would seem to make it difficult for Democrats to claim the moral high ground on the rule of law for a bit.

In these days of marginally ethical politics it's seems like a lesser of evils. Now they can quit looking for the missing Ukrainian laptop, too. I hope it torks Jim Jordan off.

It's not missing, the FBI has had it for the last 5 years.

10 years of shenanigans covered. Wow!

Tax fraud is stealing from the taxpayers. Multi-millionaires failing to pay their multi million tax bill. Screw them.

I agree. Willie Nelson had to get old playing concerts to pay back his IRS debt.

Makes me think of the old British saying, "Pardon me, Governor"
