My resolution for next year is to try and get to the bottom of why I still feel like crap, from the years before the TOS surgery in 2024 until the present. I am going to approach it like I did to get my definitive diagnosis for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome - start with local doctors and see what happens, see if they can direct me to someone knowledgable.

I am wondering if I might have fibromyalga. I haven't felt well in so long - daily, chronic muscle pain, sometimes extreme (I've been having full-on muscle spasms in my back for the past week), chronic fatigue, plus a general malaise for a very long time. It is time I take it seriosly and start looking into things.

I'm sure I'm splitting hairs, but I prefer to mentally frame it as "goals and objectives" for the new year, rather than "resolutions." I think that sounds more like moving forward and making progress, rather than being broken and needing fixing. Anyway, one thing that is important to me is to get back on track with taking regular walks outdoors. We took a walk yesterday in the cold and the snow, and it was very nice.

I am going to try to not eat so much junk when I get home from work/before dinner. I am not even that hungry. I have gotten into the habit of eating a bunch of snacks when I get home to the point where sometimes my stomach hurts and I am not hungry for dinner.

So many interesting ideas about how to improve our lives! I realize I should add a health goal, too. I want my list to be kind of short. The floor one may be too big, so I am taking that one off, as a bit beyond my control, possibly.

I have never been one for New Year's Resolutions, but I decided that I would keep a detailed budget to see where money is going and to ensure there is no frivolous spending.

I've prepared a spreadsheet to track each and every dollar coming in and out. I've also included a section to track each saving and investing account monthly.
