I think one needs six months of a valid passport to get visas and etc. My passport expires in February 2 027.
If you were me, would you renew your passport now? That only gets 4+ months for them to get it back to me.
if I don’t renew it, I have 6 months 3 weeks before it expires, figuring about the time we get home from our China trip.

Post office here renews passports and can tell you the current processing time.
We just had ours renewed in October at a post office in NH and we got them back to us in 10 days! I was amazed.
We had ours renewed and it took little time to come back to us. That was a couple years ago.
