Those unfortunate situations probably have some form of social services. Protective custody, foster homes, SNAP, emergency room care, etc. Those trying to stay under the radar for what ever reason probably don't have access to those services.

But cynical thoughts aside, I’m kind of happy to see a Midwestern state acting up just to show the coastal people thaf fly over country has some action, coastal cities, can’t claim it all when ICE moves out of Minnesota, the good citizens of Minneapolis and St. Paul can go back to cop, hating and cop bsiting. That will keep them sharp and their organizational skills polished.

Showing where ICE is targeting people of color … no mind if they are citizens…. and being hauled in and hours later let go. I’d be in hiding too.
