    Royal arrest

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince, was arrested in the UK last night. He is a “ Senior Royal” in line to the throne. He is 8th in line to inherit. At one time in the not too distant past he was 2nd in line for the throne.

    People, this is huge. HUGE!!!

Not since days of yore where kings and their heirs were dragged off, charged with treason and thrown in The Tower and then beheaded has a senior royal been arrested and jailed.

For those who don’t follow the Royal family of Britain ( cough cough rosa) Andrew was the spoiled favorite child of Queen Elizabeth II. She covered for his scrapes, gave him money, looked the other way for his transgressions.

    (Edited out)

This trouble has been brewing for many years and it started with charges of rape by Epstein victim Virginia Guiffre. Correspondence has come to light that Andrew and his wife Sarah Ferguson were extremely close with Jeffrey Epstein.
Sarah Ferguson is a hot mess who spends enormous amounts of money foolishly and is always in need of money. Epstein fed her constant streams of money.

Andrew is arrogant, dull, and full of himself. He has fought every downgrade of his extravagant lifestyle since Queen Elizabeth died. His brother, King Charles, has been chipping away at Andrew’s privilege by taking away his luxurious house in Windsor Park, taking away his title, reducing crown support, etc. But that has not been enough for the British people, they want Andrew’s head on a platter.

There are rumors that Prince William and his father the King are at loggerheads because Charles is not acting swiftly and strongly enough with Andrew, and presumably Williams’s brother Harry.

It is important to remember that both Harry and Andrew are currently in the line of succession to the throne. Apparently, and this is complicated so I’m not sure about the facts, only Parliament can remove them from the line of succession. The King can grant titles and take away titles, but he cannot change who inherits the throne.

The Palace has been reluctant to have Parliament take on this issue because it’s ugly and gives them bad press. The Royals and their minions prefer to handle their family problems themselves, but due to lack of clear and strong boundaries, I think Parliament may step in soon.

It’s even more shocking to think that Prince Harry‘s children, one of whom has never stepped in England, are also in the line of succession. All it takes is one helicopter crash for the Wales family to disappear, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will ascend to the throne. Prince William likes to fly his family around in the helicopter.

Yeah, this is a first... I'd love to know how the British people are reacting--do they think justice is being served, or do they look at the arrest as a witch hunt?

Boy, it couldn't get worse for Andrew at this point.

Regarding Harry, maybe it's the mother in me, but I really, really wish the family could reconcile. And I really wish Harry had kept his mouth shut about his family.

I am so naïve because I expected Harry and Megan to retire quietly to some posh part of the world, where Harry would play polo and Megan would be a country club Dame. Once every 10 years they would give a major interview to some slick high culture magazine about their lives. They would make occasional appearances at fundraisers that were truly important to them.

That's the life I assumed they would take on, and in doing that they could’ve retained a relationship with their family in England although it might’ve been chilly, and their children would still know their grandparents.

I don’t blame them at all for getting out of the hot house that is the senior royal family, but oh my God, they have made such a mess of their freedom. I had no idea that Megan Markle had her sight set on being an A-list Hollywood celebrity. What a stupid goal when she could have a beautiful, serene existence.

I should mention that we saw Craig Ferguson on stage last week when he breezed through St. Louis for a show. Craig had a little story about Meghan Markle, how he had had her on his show many many years ago, and he had promptly forgotten her. She was forgettable. Later she popped up in world news for marrying a prince, and British media scoured videotapes to find an interview with her because they didn’t know anything about her, she was just a cable TV actress.

they found Craig’s interview footage and used that extensively.

Yes, she is definitely not the subservient partner-to-the-royal!! I'm sure Harry had a lot of Oedipal reasons for thinking she was perfect for him--he could undo his mother's death by creating the life she would have wanted. But still, that pendulum swung way too far the other way. I'm sure I'm not in her influencer-sphere, but I just don't think she has "it"--she'll never be a Martha Stewart or Gwyneth Paltrow. The only thing I admire her for is keeping her kids out of the spotlight. And God knows I've tried to find photos of them online!!

I wonder what specific things he did to be accused of selling influence and acting illegally and what their laws say about legal consequences for such crimes. I can't imagine he royalty would be subjected to the embarrassment of an actual prison sentence? Are there openings in London Tower?

It's surprising that the British have accepted some degree of respect and honor for their version of monarchy well into modern times. Lately it all seems like fodder for People Magazine.

this week Megan started putting her children’s faces in front of the camera. Megan Snark lore is they’re running out of money, they’ve got nothing else to monetize so time to bring out the children.

Lilibet’s hair is perpetually uncombed. Her name makes me irrationally angry. It was the pet family name for Queen Elizabeth Ii. You don’t name your child who is in line for the British throne some made up stupid nickname.

It all has to do with his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and having sex with underaged girls (allegedly).
