I'm half-surprised NATO didn't boot us out over the Greenland and Canada nonsense.

I’m not surprised. NATO still loves those big US dolla dolla bills, 62% of its budget.

    from the BBC:

…the US is still by far the biggest spender on defence, spending about $980bn (£720bn) last year, which was 62% of the Nato total.

Oh, I don't know about that. That would be sort of like Arkansas booting the United States out of the state because the feds offended Orval Faubus.

Trump says we don't need the so called allies because we have the greatest military in the world. So what's he so upset about?

I'd say it's a simple case of what goes around comes around.

If I have my news source correct, the U.S. is only sending a minimal amount of military support to the war Ukraine and the bulk of foreign aid to the war is coming from the EU. However the US is still selling weapons to the EU. It makes my head spin thinking about how much those aircraft carriers and cruise missiles are costing us taxpayers.

In the background we seem to have Cuba in some sort of oil shortage half or full nelson. I think Rubio has long wanted to have Cuba as a feather in his cap and they probably have few resources to resist. It's hard to keep up with it all, but the boat strikes on supposed drug runners has dropped out of the media. I doubt they have quit running drugs? The whole Venezuela situation has dropped out of the news I've followed but is probably out there somewhere.

I just don’t think about it, it’s all too depressing.

How quickly and thoughtlessly our President has plunged our country--and the world--into chaos. What a mess. Wonder what his exit strategy will be? Don't know about you, but I'm frightened and concerned..
