    Smile Sugar-free cookies

These cookies are supposed to taste like granola, they are on "Shape" magazines' website:

They sound delicious, but with applesauce, cherries and bananas, they are hardly sugar-free.

Well at least there is no white sugar in them, that was what I meant!

Yeah, they should call them "sucrose-free."

I think I'd add 1/2 c. flour, some baking powder and either walnuts or almonds to that recipe. Then they'd really be cookies.

Thanks for that recipe! It doesn't have any flour, which makes it gluten-free...the only types of cookies DH and I can eat!

Hi Selah, if you go to the next page -- where the recipe is located at the bottom is a pink button to get there, there is another flour and sugar free cookie. Enjoy

This is probably the tastiest and easiest healthy treat I've made:
    http://mynewroots.blogspot.com/2011/04/raw-brownie.html

    I have modified it a little - I use 1 c ground walnuts, about 1/4 c flax meal, 2 c whole, pitted dates, a scant 1/2 c cocoa, and a pinch of salt.

Everyone in my family loves these, and they are remarkably brownie-like!

I just tried the recipe, Rosemary. I made it using my Vitamix high-powered blender, instead of a food processor. I started on Variable 1 and slowly increased to Variable 3 setting, adding the unsulphured, pitted Medjool dates one at a time, and it worked just fine. They are delicious! I cut them into 1/2" thick, 1 1/2" squares and wrapped them individually in plastic wrap, then froze them in a sealed plastic container. Using the nutritional information on the packages for the ingredients, I was able to determine that 1 raw brownie contains approximately 15g carbohydrates.

I am really excited to try that Rosemary! I am on South Beach, and that is SB friendly! Her raspberry cheesecake recipe looks amazing also
