    What a day.

We went to New Melones Lake located in the Mother Lode of central California. It was a beautiful day about 70 degrees. We had a picnic there and got to see an Osprey catch a trout and carry it off. It was a wonderful sight. The trout probably did not think so.

What a wonderful picture you have described. I can't wait for spring! Thanks for sharing!

Sounds lovely. freein05, we will be in your neck of the woods next weekend, in Sonora for the Celtic Faire. Very much looking forward to being up there again.

I was doing volunteer work in the visitors center at Calaveras Big Trees today and it was busy. The weather was great.

Can you arrange to have that great weather next weekend, too? I love rain and goodness we need some this spring, but I am still hoping for no rain over the weekend for the fair.

Weather person says snow mid week and sunny next weekend. The snow is at the 5,000 foot elevation in the Sierras. Good luck!

Thanks! I can handle snow, as long as we have enough warm clothes (which we will be sure to bring). We've had snowy weekends up there before. But rain and mud is just less than fun at an outdoor event.
