Which side of you brain do you use most?

Here is a fun quick online quiz to show which side of your brain you rely on more....

    http://en.sommer-sommer.com/braintest/?data=NjMsMzc%3D

    Very quick to take.
One part you have to answer quickly within 4 seconds each.

I scored - Use both sides "equally"
Which surprised me, I thought the right side (images, fantasy, chaos, creativity) would dominate

What did your results point to? Do you agree?

Edit to add: Obviously the side of my brain that self edits isn't awake yet, as I have a glaring typo in my Thread Title and can't go back to fix it.... I meant to say your brain... oops!

This is very interesting.. I've done other right/left brain quizzes, and what's interesting is that the last time I did one I came out equally right and left brained. That was when I was overseeing both qualitative and quantitative research studies: one requires a lot of right brain thinking and the other is all about managing data.

I just did your test and came out very heavily right-brained, and for the past 6 years I've been doing only qualitative research, which is much more "squishy" than quant research.

I wonder if you can conclude from that that you can actually train your brain to be one vs. the other?

I came out more or less equal--46% left brain, 54% right brain.

The interesting question for me was the first one--the spinning woman. I saw it as a clockwise spin, which the explanation says is a sign of being right-handed. But I'm a leftie.

And the bit at the end where you had to close one eye and cross arms and legs--completely split between left and right.

Like the OP, I would have thought that I'd have had more of a right brain bias.

    I came out no-brained.
Not really.....I'm very right brained.........although scatterbrained.

Edited to add:.......haha......actually, I think it said left brained. Which brain was on the left?
    See what I mean?!

    Left brained.....81/19.

Aren't you usually the opposite side of the brain that you're dominant hand is on?

Quick and interesting, and I use both side equally. The interesting part is that the test does not allow for life circumstance differences. I am pretty much right-side dominant, but because of a neurological-focal vision disorder, I automatically close my right eye in order to see well and have adjusted my vision so that I am now more left eye dominant just because I choose/force to be so. Though dominant, my right eye is almost always closed and perhaps that could skew any results.

Maybe that does not make any difference, but it has me wondering.

Equal, somewhat more right brained. That surprises me; I would have predicted left.
    Thanks - that was fun!
