    Dear fashion designers,
I see why you can't put large pockets on skirts, but could we at least get proper pockets on ladies' trousers? Just big enough for a phone, some money and a handkerchief would be fine.
Or is it a conspiracy to make us buy handbags?

I hate dealing with that person at work. However, I have to or find another job, because it is one of the two bosses at work, and it is brought one mostly by diabetic craziness (and refusal to visit a doctor/take medicine and give up alcohol). The other brother asked me to read his medical report and it doesn't look good. I think I am going to be taking over running the place before long, if the choice is made to stay open.

Yesterday someone started quacking (like a duck) at me while we passed on the sidewalk. Very very annoying. Tired of the insane asylum - figuratively speaking. It's not helping my sanity any either. And it's not always some obviously homeless person or something either, it's just you'll be walking down the street just wanting to be left alone, and quack quack or something equally bizarre. I don't know why. Only occasionally is the insanity enjoyable, only occasionally is it a glorious crazy, as when someone with a good (not great, no go-pro or anything, but quite respectable) voice breaks out into Folsom prison echoing against the walls walking to the car ("just to watch him die ..."), the person singing obviously also in motion, echoing down on all below from a changing location.

Exactly! Those useless pockets on my jeans drive me crazy. They don't even hold one handkerchief.

    My mini-rant for today:
Replacement parts for my electric stove (circa 1985) are no longer available. It's too good to throw away. I've heard from friends who bought new stoves lately that they are disappointed with the quality, and getting only a one-year warranty.

I guess we will limp along with 2.5 burners* for now, til we figure out a solution. The old stove has solid iron elements... so nice to cook on, but they don't make solid iron elements any more. *One only cooks on one side of the element.

You are middle-aged - please don't turn to me in the restaurant and ask me how much to tip on your check. It's 3rd grade math.
(Many years ago I had a blind date at a restaurant turn to me and hand me the check and ask the same thing, saying he "wasn't good at math." - sheesh. Dealbreaker, No second date.)

For some reason, disliking evem basic math seems to be "cool". As in "math is for nerds".
I tech at a university, and I had students who could not even give a raw estimate on how much 10% of something is.

I've become my mother, that's my peeve for the day.

I put things "carefully away" and forget where I put them. That used to drive me crazy about my mother.

I can't see the teeny tiny print on certain things and I refuse to believe that anyone can see print that small! I've always been nearsighted and can see tiny print, it's my talent in life! Don't take that away from me!!!! haha.

My neighbor, in the festive spirit of the season, has installed Christmas lights along his drive. His long, long drive. They are very bright and in fact look like the Northern approach to SeaTac. That would be fine if they weren't visible from my bed...Ho ho ho.
