I read The River Why (Great book!) so I know trout fishing is a real... thing. It is the fish my father fishes for most too.

There is a lake near my house with trout in it. Last year I caught a handful while jigging for panfish. I cooked them and they were so-so. This year I went out and caught a bunch. I cooked them a few different ways, but they just weren't that great. I prefer crappies, bluegills, and catfish. Call me a hillbilly, but trout just ain't my kind of eatin' fish.
