I loved reading this latest update, Awakened! Thank you for stating your age. It's so important for people to know that *it is possible* to be a healthy vibrant active person beyond 40, and into the 50's, 60's, 70's, and beyond. Your description of all the dynamics around the auditioning is so interesting--and inspiring! That grateful, cheerful attitude is obviously working for you! I am 62 and it can be a struggle to get to yoga classes, out for walks, and so on, but what you described is exactly the tone and ethos I am striving for, and it's great to see that the effort and intentionality of keeping mentally and physically fit can actually work the way it's supposed to! Thank you for sharing this experience!

Thanks Rachel. Yes, the difference continues to amaze me. I didn't realize how much better I could feel. People tell me that I look much younger now. When you're not in pain, your face looks different. I didn't really how much energy was being zapped. It's a huge relief, and I feel very grateful.

I hope you are able to find what works for you. I also had to give up the yoga and walks before having the surgery. Once the physical is repaired, it makes ir much easier mentally and emotionally. Take care of yourself...

This has been my experience exactly. My entire demeanor changed. And my happiness factor, entire quality of life. I'm so grateful I found a surgeon who believed I was not "too young" to have the surgery (I was 49).
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!

That's great, Kay. Yeah, I feel so much better. Today I went back to my old dentist. I hadn't seen him in over 10 years. "You look the same!" he said. That's what another friend told me who I hadn't seen in over 10 years, too. It surprised me. I feel like I looked much older the year before the surgery. I was in so much pain, and felt so worried. Now my face looks much brighter and happier. Worry can really wear you down and cause depression.
