That's a long time. It took mere months for the FBI to come to the conclusion that Mrs. Clinton's email practices were "extremely careless" but not "grossly negligent". Although they may have been spurred on by the reaction to the AG's ex parte discussion with Mr. Clinton while their minions were fueling their planes.
