I went for my mammo today and yet another front desk staff was rude to a patient. A patient showed up for her appt (a quite frail, elderly woman) who had a script in her hand and had an appt. The desk staff said it was the wrong prescription and she'd have to get the right one and re-schedule her appt and she said it rudely, the poor woman looked like she was going to cry and said it is hard for her to get out for appts, couldn't they just call her doctor? The same exact scenario was happening to me on the other side of the desk, the woman helping me said, "oh this script is incomplete, let me call your doctor and get the right one faxed over." The old lady leaves and the other receptionist goes, "she has the wrong script and thinks she's gonna just waltz in here and get her mammogram." My receptionist agreed with her even though she had just helped me out of the same situation. WTH? And the old lady was the only other person in the place, they weren't busy. I should've spoken up.

The last gift check I got from Mom was sent in my maiden name. I have been married for 43 years. Had to send it back and ask her to send it in my "new" name. We thought it was pretty funny at the time.

No compassion for the elderly anymore at all. And, you were treated one way and she was treated another way. I wonder if they will double bill her for two appointments to make extra money and she won't understand how or why they did that.

A few past hopes and dreams that now seem so unrealistic.

I got up and took my son to work at 5 am, (he got a promotion so he should be able to get a car soon). The apartment was a little stuffy so I opened the window and there is a car outside playing music with the window open. I am on the 3rd floor so it wasn't right next to my window however I could hear it clearly. At least it was nice music, but who sits outside at 5 am and plays music with their car window open!

Someone who works nights and gets home in the mornings. Smokers, as well, etc.

Idiots who don't care about the feelings, health, or welfare of anyone else. They can be of any age. May be nice music to you but what of others who might not like it or who had a rough night and could not get to sleep. What about those on the first floor? Rant over.

My neighbor is a good 500 yards down the street, and I can hear his electronic dance music (at least the bass) from here.

This is what I go through 24/7 and including no muffler and pumping out carbon monixide that fills up my entire apartment.

People also don't want their kids screaming at their house and let them run the neighborhood.

Then the sweet smoke from up the street, making my whole apartment smell like a hippie's den and it seeps into all the fabrics.

This is always a problem with having neighbors, especially when you work opposite them. I remember a job where I would have to occasionally work nights, and they didn't give your body time to adjust from day to night. Let alone the neighbors starting up their mowers at 7 to 8am, after I got home at 6am.
Makes me feel worse for the LEO's I know, who won't sleep well and are armed.
