I allowed myself to splurge and buy pre-minced garlic in a tube last week - it isn't called Simple Living for nuthin! Without having a real kitchen to cook in it has made my life immeasurably easier to cut out that sticky step of mincing garlic cloves without the benefit of having running water nearby. Sometimes you gotta just pay up a little more to make things easier
