I like your plan for the big day Rob! It is only a matter of time until it happens.

    Enjoy president Pence.

(there may be some argument he's better than Trump, it's not very obvious to me though, sure Trump governs like a bull in a china shop, but Pence is uh Pence ... if ever there was a time for: "be careful what you wish for")

I think you are right that Pence may be worse so not looking forward to that. I just think that the Donald won't last.

One of life's great amusements is listening to the explanations offered for twists and turns in the financial markets. It makes astrologers and haruspices seem like cautious professionals.

Well, the Dow was down 190 something at mid day, then down only 120 something by closing bell.
So how did reaction to Trump achieve that?

90 or 120 one day change in today's stock market is no big deal, but I suspect the market is getting nervous. I've pretty much been a stay the course buy and hold person even through 9/11 and the financial meltdown, but have recently made changes to my retirement investments to reduce stock market risk. Other than some very periodic rebalancing it is the first major change I've made in decades. I need to start taking withdrawals in the next 5 or 10 years and don't feel comfortable weathering out another bust. Maybe it's just so I sleep better at night, maybe not. It's not a reaction to daily news, but a general perception of more risk for the next few years. I don't believe in Trumpnomics.

Yes, The Donald has been affecting the market for some months now. But if you want to argue that the 6% rise in the last quarter of 2016 was due to euphoria about the end of the Obama regime, I wont stop you.

Or maybe it was last ditch euphoria that Obama was still president!
