Hugs, Tybee. Sorry about the downed tree. I hope things start working out better very quickly.

So sorry, Tybee - about the tree, and the DH kerfuffle - I know my DH does not handle stress well and comes at problems in ways that seem (ok, they usually ARE ) insane to me. It's hard and I hope it gets better quickly!! Maybe you could find someone who wants the wood to clear the tree? If he doesn't have to cut/stack it, maybe he won't care so much about saving it? I don't know. But regardless, thinking of you today and hoping things resolve quickly, and well!!

Thank you so much, earlymorning. I loved what you said here, "I know my DH does not handle stress well and comes at problems in ways that seem (ok, they usually ARE) insane to me." I so relate.
We are on hold with insurance now--that is a good idea about someone clearing the tree in exchange for the wood; it's already down, or at least two giant limbs--I guess it lost two out of three giant limbs, and one took out part of roof of pole barn (shed) and one took out gable, siding, and fence.

    Yikes, that’s a lot of damage-by-tree!

Ranting at myself for being stupid. Amy had a big mat in her ear so I thought I would cut it out versus brushing it. I should have put my finger between the ear and hair. I ended up cutting her ear. Max jumped off my lap and started shaking. Amy was chill and just laid down. I had to apply pressure to get it to stop bleeding. Ugh!

So sorry that you are dealing with so many stresses at one time, Tybee.

I just drove through a massive thunderstorm. At one point, I just took a 15 minute time out in an empty restaurant parking lot as the heavy rain was to the point of intensity that I could not see the tail lights of cars in front of me. Having the alarm signal on my phone warning twice of high risk of a tornado didn't help either.

    Semi-rant.

I just bought a wireless router; ours is ten years old and even just the two of us streaming stuff seems to bog it down eventually. The deed is done; the router is in the house. So why is the Internet showing me ads for routers, particularly the very one I bought from the very place I bought it? What a waste of advertising dollars. FWP for sure but it's 2020; the ability of marketers to realize that routers (and automobile tires; another purchase that got the same treatment) are not an everyday (or even everyyear) gimme-a-deal-I-can't-refuse-and-sure-I'll-buy-another-one-now purchase should be far better than this.

Just more proof to me that our robot overlords will not be invincible.

Steve, I have had exactly that same rant. The big ticket item I look at on the Internet has been purchased. So they continue to show me ads for that big ticket item.

When advertising truly becomes customized to me in a granular way, I will not resent it. But right now I resent the stupidity of the crap they show me
