Again, if you think this is an average, just another day in America, type event, your downplaying of the seriousness of what is happening is defending it. We have never in our history had armed insurrectionists attempt to thwart the work of congress certifying the electoral college results. Never. Ever. Thousands and thousands of demonstrators held forth for months in the streets of Portland, with minimal violence and damage and no threat to the Republic. And, I repeat, a sizeable portion of that violence came at the hands of white supremacists and general troublemakers. Not to mention their cause was a worthy one.
