I made the storebought corned beef for dinner tonight, using the same technique as my homemade version. There is no comparison. It's worth the work. Now I know.

I just looked at the recipe for curing the homemade version. I put it on my to-do list to try when I feel adventurous in cooking. I have to get over the price of the brisket first though
