The ATM thing started when I was married and my ex who had no financial discipline would always go to the ATM and take out money. After I divorced I still didn't get one but due to safety reasons. There are also people who wait near ATMs to rob you.

I'm amazed you are able to actually leave the house and go about your daily business. You have a ton of hangups.
Says the woman who can't get along with her parents, her priest, her coworkers, her boss, men she has dated, maybe because the first thing she wants to do in a new situation is complain about her chair.

Another one added to the ignore list.

Haha. It means I’m doing something right if I’m put on ignore by the likes of you.

Better my situation and freedom than to be trapped in a crumbling house with a mentally ill adult son and all these other hang ups you have that keep you from fully participating in modern society.

Talk about an overreaction to someone choosing to not use an ATM card. Consider the source.

Well, when they bring it back, remember not to spend too much time on the phone as you will still need time to call and report and complain about all the truck drivers and other folks who irritate you one way or the other throughout your day. Then again, I guess it's nice you have something to keep that selfish, self-centered attitude fresh and alive in your daily life.

The truck driver going 25 under the speed limit yesterday and holding up traffic on a one lane each way road? Called it in at lunch. Boss said they had had reports from other members of the public about the exact same thing yesterday, as well as reports the driver was on his phone with phone in his hand (that I couldn’t see), which is illegal in IL.

The whole ice cream snark, ganging up on people and dumping on them. I don't see the point. It's obvious you think certain posters are stupid or obsessed or clueless. What purpose does ganging up on them with the whole social shunning thing serve? It doesn't seem to have much impact, other than to make the people doing it feel smug and superior.

Sorry if I have missed the point of this activity.

When Tammy was explaining all her challenges when caring for patients of covid in ICU, then the consequences of herself being very seriously ill, then was posting about the consequences on her long-term well-being and financial future, the posts about its just inconsequential old people who are dying, following protocols is too much of a burden, scientific data is questionable, and so on ..., a gentle ice cream post is a benign reminder that there is another way to post.

EG of another way: when Yppej posted about problems with her car or dryer, etc., many supportive posts with suggestions to help or thoughts to consider is one example of other ways to post.

It takes a lot for me to react but enough is sometimes enough. YMMV.

I post this with all due respect to you:

Why do you assume that those who are doing it - and I'll speak specifically for myself - feel smug and superior????? I don't and that is definitely NOT the point of the responses. Each time, I am responding to a post. Stop/change/modify the posts and the responses will change. It's really that simple. But if you are going to attack or condemn responses, try starting at the beginning with the initial posts and poster.
