there are laws that require us to wear clothing in public - basically so that we don’t embarrass or offend people. I accept that masks can be uncomfortable. Avoiding places because you don’t want to wear a mask in inconvenient. But being trapped in your house and unable to have contact with human beings because you don’t want your child to die is a h*ll of a lot more uncomfortable and inconvenient and I’m willing to do a lot to spare people that.

I mean, I would probably not go topless in public even if I wasn’t going to get arrested just because it’s polite.
I don't believe masks stop covid, which has very small particles. Nevertheless even pre-covid I would have been willing to wear masks when visiting someone in the ICU in grave danger of infectious illness. Were I in the ICU I would not expect everyone throughout the country to wear masks, but I would expect it of people coming to the ICU to visit me if medically indicated.

I think it is cavalier to expect everyone to turn their lives upside down forever (because covid will never disappear) because some people choose not to get vaccines and because some people have weakened immune systems that any germ like the seasonal flu could do in. Yeah, let's just shut down the economy - if you're suffering financially sucks to be you - because my rights trump your rights and I can't work anyways due to my medical conditions so it doesn't impact me. Definitely cavalier.

One thing I look forward to in retirement is not wearing a bra. And if in the current HHH weather I could go outside naked I just might. It doesn't harm anyone else if I do, whereas shutting down the economy and otherwise imposing restrictions on others, including a device that makes it hard to breathe, definitely does harm them.
