Actually, who cares which is better as a joke or as a protagonist? And, I was just around a 4 year old so know it does not matter. Sheesh.

I could say, in the spirit of this thread, “why do people argue over the proper presentation of a joke about poop which is only appropriate for four-year-olds? “. But then I would be going against my own rule that this thread should not be a place to rant. So, joining into the spirit of the poop joke, gosh which protagonist is better anyway? Christopher Robin or Winnie the Pooh?

Christopher Robin (or some other character) is a better protagonist, because Winnie the Pooh wouldn't be looking for himself, whereas Christopher Robin often came to the 100 acre woods looking for Pooh. Besides, making Christopher Robin the protagonist gives the person you're asking a sporting chance of guessing the answer -- not fair otherwise.

BTW: To understand the joke, a kid would have to be familiar with Winnie the Pooh and also be old enough to understand why this riddle is naughty. I'd say 5-8 yo is the prime audience.

Why do women wear swimsuits that are 1/4 this size in front, or sometimes much smaller, and cover almost nothing in back?

Yeah, Yeah, I know.... They do it to attract guys. But surely women realize the kind of guy who would start making small talk with a woman he doesn't know just because she's wearing an ultra-skimpy swimsuit isn't the kind of guy she wants to attract?

Personally, speaking as a guy, I find the size of that blue swimsuit very alluring. It's big enough to leave something to the imagination, and just small enough to reveal a little too much, but it's most interesting aspect is the possibility the sloshing water will make it accidentally slide down while she's bouncing around in the surf.

And now that I've offended all the women on this forum by asking that question, shall we return to silly jokes?

I think modern standards have determined that buttocks are OK to expose. For the front part, not so much.

Boobs are OK as well, show it all.

The little scraps of fabric are kind of silly when you think about it, but actually contribute to allure. Some mystery is part of the invitation.

Back on topic: While falling down a rabbit hole on Google, I came across this book:

Why only girls? Yes the main character is a girl, but why do little girls need to be told they're perfect more than boys? I recognize the pressures and traumas that set in during the tweenage years (boys have them too!) but both boys and girls need to be told they're perfect every year while they're growing up.

Fortunately there are clothing optional beaches for people who object, but at the height of the pandemic we could not go to the beach - or anywhere else outdoors - even by ourselves with no one else around for miles - because yes we do have places that rural in central Massachusetts - without wearing a mask. Your insinuations of a comparison are not apples to oranges.
