    I agree with you, Catherine.

After the heavy snowfall on Monday, my neighbour came over to help move the big bank of snow left by the snowplow - 3 ft high and 4 ft deep and 25 ft wide.

When I switched my internet provider last week, there were some wrinkles in the process. It was resolved with such courtesy by the customer service and tech support from both from the company I left and the one to which I switched.

I had a financial review today with my CFP at my credit union; she is so helpful considering all the possibilities and pros and cons of each.

I did a large grocery shopping today - items are well laid out and fully stocked, customers were courteous and smiling as we skirted around each other pushing the bulky shopping carts. People are all simply trying to do a good job or be considerate.

Got to rave about the customer service at a local Verizon store. They helped my 89 year old mother in law figure out some issues with her new phone. They were so nice she is planning another visit to ask a few more questions. We cannot help her as she has a totally different phone from ours. Not often she is happy with service these days and they must have listened well and been very patient.

Yes! I brought my mom for an MRI today, and every single person we encountered at the MRI facility was as nice as they could possibly be.

Just spent about 1.5 hours on the phone with car insurance. Had a lot of changes and the individual who I dealt with on the phone was FANTASTIC! Took all the changes I threw at him in stride and we are saving a significant amount of money now. I'm thrilled to have this off my to-do list and to have dealt with someone that made it easy.

That is great, Happy. Sometimes one phone call can amount to more savings than months of being careful at the grocery store!

We ate at a new diner. We have passed it for months and it didn't look very promising because it's in a strip mall, but I gave my husband money for Christmas to go out to a diner, so yesterday we went there and it was great. Best of all, when we walked in, customers were super friendly and told us to sit anywhere, and everyone acted like we were local.

People are so friendly here in the winter--it's just like Michigan, super friendly in the winter and aloof in the summer, since you might be a tourist.

The food was fantastic. Why are diner sausages so much better than sausages anywhere else?

Glad you enjoyed it. They will remember you as local folks now. Diners are community spots usually.

Corned beef hash is also much much tastier at a diner.

We are doing two major house renovations with many, many workmen. We’ve not had one stinker. I can think of one instance where there was some inattention to detail when the floor contractor was too busy talking to me about his place in the country, but it wasn’t deliberate.

Our Hermann house isn’t DONE yet, but 80% of the Really big work to be performed by contractors is done. We love our contractor. The subcontractors we hired for this for landscaping seems to have done a good job. The floor guys are working right now. Most people who have been through a major renovation don’t have universally postive Relationships with their contractors.

do you know that truism about products, it is this: can’t have things that are cheap and fast and accurate. You can get two out of three, but it’s very difficult to get all three.

In our case we went for only one of those on the triad, accuracy. We wanted solid workmanlike product. None of it was cheap, none of it was fast.
